Main components

Avocados are a great source of unsaturated fat (the good kind of fat) and help keep you feeling full!

  • Can reduce “bad” LDL cholesterol while boosting “good” HDL cholesterol.
  • Contains lutein and zeaxanthin, which are great for eye health.
  • Potassium: helps regulate blood pressure.
  • Magnesium: Supports nerve and muscle function.
  • Folate: Important for DNA synthesis and cell repair.

Cilantro: High in antioxidants that boost your immune system. 

  • Supports brain health (ie memory and cognitive function; Alzheimers and Parkinsons)
  • Contains dodecenal, an antimicrobial compound that may help protect your body against infections and illnesses (ie salmonella)

Mushrooms: Known for having unique bioactive compounds & high in nutrients! Also supports immune function, reduce inflammation, and provide antioxidants that help protect the body from cellular damage.

 

Beans, Veggies & Guac

Ingredients
  

Guacamole
  • 1 Avocado
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro
  • 1 tbsp Red onion
  • half Lemon squeezed
Saute
  • 1/3 Red onion
  • 1 Bell pepper
  • 1 cup Black bean
  • 1/2 cup Mushroom
  • 1 Garlic
Spices
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • pinch Cayenne
  • pinch Chili powder
  • pinch Salt

Method
 

  1. Saute garlic, onion, pepper & mushrooms on stove top for around 10 minutes.
  2. Add beans & spices. Cook for around 4 more minutes
  3. Enjoy on it's own, with chips, or in a tortilla.
